| Vattar Media is one of many companies that handles the
assignment and database tracking of active/inactive/available domain names.
Each country has its own NIC registry service for handling foreign (or
domestic) domain names. Vattar Media provides (.com, .net. .org) domain name
extensions. |
| Disk Space ( Web space) |
| Disk space is the amount of space you are allowed on
the server. Vattar Media provide a very generous amount of space and designate
5,000 files for each 100 MB of space allotted to your account. Vattar Media
Business Package includes 100MB disk space whereas Student Package includes
50MB disk space. |
| Monthly Traffic Allowance |
| Your total traffic allowance includes www and ftp
usage. Vattarnet offers 1 GB of monthly traffic allowance for each account. You
can determine your traffic usage by examining the daily totals displayed on
your site statistics program (wusage). Vattarnet systems monitor and forecast
the traffic usage for each account. If it appears that your account will exceed
your traffic allowance, we will send you an e-mail and contact you with the
forecasted amount of over-usage. You will have the opportunity to increase your
traffic allowance as needed. |
| Sub Domain |
| Vattarnet offers unlimited number of sub domains
included in the web hosting plan. A sub domain is something like
"sales.vattarmedia.com". The benefit to this type of account is that there are
no domain name registration fees for the sub-domain, only for the
main/principle domain. You simply Park the sub domain to your existing main
account, specify a sub-directory you want the domain pointed to, and we
activate a script that allows the sub domain to be redirected to that
sub-directory. |
